Eskrima, also known as Arnis or Kali, is an indigeneous Filipino Martial Art which utilizes weapons such as sticks (single and double), knife/daggers, espada y daga (sword and dagger), bangkaw (staff), mano-mano (empty hands: kicking and punching), and dumog (grappling) - the Filipino way. It is a complete system by itself.
Doce Pares is an assemblage of various styles. Styles that were brought and introduced into the organization by the founding masters in 1932. To the credit of the leaders of the organization, these diverse and often contrasting styles and skills were all successfully integrated and passed on to the next generation of Doce Pares adherents.
The Guba Doce Pares system teaches the complete close quarter sparring to improve technique and skills.

24th Annual Philippine Barrio Fiesta 2008
The Philippine Centre has once again invited DG Doce Pares to demonstrate and promote Filipino Martial Arts at the 24th Annual Philippine Barrio Fiesta. The dates of the fiesta has been rescheduled from 19-20 July to 13-14 September. This change actually came as a blessing for us because we couldn't have been able to attend the most important weekend of our calendar as we were in the Philippines for the WEKAF and Doce Pares World Championships.
On 13-14 September, DG Doce Pares will see you in Lampton Park, Hounslow (TW3 4DN). We will showcase the best of Filipino Martial Arts, and we will also demonstrate the sporting aspect of eskrima in WEKAF-regulated style.
This weekend will be buzzing with thousands of Filipinos and guests as it is now becoming a multi-cultural event where people from other nationalities, come and visit and learn more about the Philippine culture, food and phenomenon! About 70,000 visitors are expected over the weekend.
