Doce Pares at the British Low Armour Championships
Danny Guba Doce Pares did it again by smashing all their opponents at the 2008 British Low Armour Championships on 13th April 2008 held in Luton.
British Low Armour Winners Ermar Alexander, Norman Charles and Peter Huynh
Team Doce Pares: Diana, Alex, Norman, Ryan, Justin, Cherrie, Peter
Peter Huynh impressed judges despite being a beginner who only started training less than a year ago. It was a clear fight between Peter and Andy Hudson from JKD Northampton. Lightweight division Champion for 2008 was declared to be Peter Huynh!
Norman Charles, one of DG Doce Pares' hardest hitters in the heavyweight dvision, had two fights that day, first against Damien Mills from JKD Northampton, in which Norman won the match. The next bout was against Stewart Husband from Kapatiran Arnis who was tenderised and smashed in a fight which ended up with a third round. Norman won Silver.
Finally, Ermar Alexander, who has been waiting for this day since the last tournament in 2006, was looking forward to defend his three British titles which he won in 2004, 2005 and 2006. (There was no championship held in 2007). Alex fought JKD Northampton's head instructor Roger Barnes who is European WEKAF Champion. After a few welts and bloodshed, an effect of Alex's powerful strikes, Alex successfully defended his title and is now 4x undefeated British Low Armour Champion.
