Road accidents are a very common thing in the Philippines and around the world, especially in developing countries, and most of these Philippine cases are unrecorded as they usually occur in provinces (aka countrysides) and outskirts of cities. Filipinos have already accustomed themselves and have gotten used to these kinds of tragedies.
The Make Roads Safe petition is calling on the United Nations 62nd Session in 2008 to agree a General Assembly Resolution backing actions to tackle road deaths.
